Safe and professional, our mission at Fit to be Wed is to make you feel comfortable and coach you, not only in preparation for your wedding, but on your life long journey to better health. Our FTBW team is comprised of a variety of wellness professionals with numerous years of experience. We each have our own personal stories on how we have incorporated fitness and wellness into our lives and made it a lifestyle. See our individual bio’s for more information.
Our spacious facility at EPEC Fitness, will inspire you to achieve the goals that you have set for your big day. The studio is comprised of both cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
To offer more variety in your exercise routine, we have free weights, stability balls, body bars, resistance tubing, and numerous core building pieces of equipment. All designed to make your body the best it can be! In addition to the workout areas and equipment, EPEC Fitness has private rooms for both Yoga and massage therapy. Incorporating Yoga and massage into your Fit to be Wed program will truly enhance your body, mind and spirit in preparation for your big day.
Fit to be Wed is a 12 week program consisting of 24 sessions of fun, but hard work with your personal trainer. Each session is 30 minutes and is structured according to your ability and personal goals. Your program will become more personalized as your present goals are achieved, and new, more specific ones are created. Also included in the program is a 14 week membership to the studio. It is important that you use the facility before, after, and in between scheduled workouts to do your cardiovascular exercises. A cardiovascular exercise program will be created for you, by your personal trainer, to also assist you with your pre- wedding goals.
In addition to your 24 personal training sessions and free membership to EPEC Fitness, your trainer can assist you with healthy eating tips. We can create a generalized food plan based upon healthy foods and serving sizes to help you find a healthy balance. If additional assistance is needed in customizing your plan, we can refer you to a Registered Dietician. Both tests will assist in determining how many calories you need before, during and after exercise. The test will also provide insight on how efficient your metabolism is working. In other words how good are you at burning fat! This option will also assist your FTBW trainer in developing a more customized cardiovascular plan. The program would be based upon your results of the exercise VO2 test, which shows us which energy systems you are using while you are exercising.
