Getting Started

The first step in getting started with the Fit To Be Wed program is to come out, meet us and see our studio. It's important to us that before anyone starts this program that they feel comfortable in the exercise environment that we have created. During the initial consultation you'll tour the studio and meet the staff. We'll get to know you and your personal goals and then begin the preparation for your wedding day body and attitude!
Your first session will be comprised of a mini health assessment in which your body fat and measurements will be taken. These testing methods are both great ways to measure your success along the way. You will also have a before picture taken, so that we can physically see the changes you will be making throughout the program.
Each month your trainer will re-take your measurements. At this time new goals may be created, along with any necessary changes in your program design. Your trainer may also weigh you weekly, depending on your goals, to increase your personal accountability. At the conclusion of the 12 weeks your final measurements, body fat and after picture will be taken. At this time you will discuss your progress, the goals you have achieved with your trainer and decide how you are going to continue on your life long journey to better health.
There are several ways that you may customize your Fit to be Wed program to ensure that you are creating the body balance you desire. They are:
- Yoga – you have the option to add or substitute Yoga sessions into your Fit to be Wed program. See program additions for more information.
- Massage – See program additions for more information.
- Resting metabolic and an exercise VO2 assessment. See program additions for more information.
- Registered Dietician – See program additions for more information.
After completing the
FTBW program there are many other programs available
to you as you continue on your path to a healthy lifestyle. If your wedding date is still 12 weeks or longer away, your first option would be to continue with the Fit To Be Wed Program. At this time new goals will be established and your program will be redesigned. However, additional options are; one-on-one 30 minute or 60 minute personal training sessions or partner personal training in a small group of 2 to 4 people (we can find you partners).
